Hi I’m Morgan!
I’m so happy you’re here!
There is nothing I love more than being outside in the fresh air, warm sun and with good company! I have always been a creative, a perfectionist and a little bit of a wanderer. As John Muir once said “The world’s big and I want to have a good look at it before it gets dark.” To me photography is my way of seeing our beautiful world and its people. An image can capture the beauty and memory of a place and evoke the love and emotion of the people in it. Everyone and everyplace tells a story and I feel so lucky any time I have the opportunity to capture it!
My love for photography started when I walked into my high school’s (Go NPHS!) dark room sophomore year. Something about seeing my images appear for the first time in the developer opened up a whole new realm of expression for me. I was hooked on film for years because I loved the challenge of trying to get the perfect shot from the start, knowing Photoshop wasn’t going to help me. The downside was sometimes I would put in all the work only to find out my film hadn’t developed properly at all. Then the day came where I jumped into the digital space and I never looked back. I fell so in love with photography that I ended up with a degree in it from CSUN! Even though I shoot digital now, I still try to approach every image as if it were on film. Getting the lighting and the crop close to perfect and only using Photoshop to enhance the beauty that’s already there.
I love meeting new faces, hearing beautiful stories and finding fun places to photograph. So bring all the Pinterest inspo, no idea is to crazy!
